Au Revoir Michel! Bonne Chance!

Was that good Michael? I am almost fluent..haha.
But you definitely will be fluent when you come back.
Today October 7th, Michael officially began his mission. See ya man!
And watch out for those cows and angry farmers!
I promise there is a milk strike in Brussels right now as I type.
I am fairly certain that it will be over by the time you get there. ; )

And for everyone who checks out my blog. I have added a twitter feed for @mhelvey
to my blog on the right, below my @timbe2 feed. Please check it out and follow him (who is really me tweeting).
I will be tweeting pictures Michael sends me/his parents email me. I will
also be tweeting various content from letters he writes.
I also have a TwitPic feed that shows pictures I tweet from his account!

The Last Skype

Tonight was the last night that Michael and I could Skype. I forget the explanation for this
but basically Michael's mission began today at 8pm PST. This was brought upon by either his mission president/bishop, I don't remember which one Michael told me.
For the next 2-3 days, Michael will be living life as if he is on the mission, following all mission guidelines. His dad, Ted will be Michael's companion. They will do everything together.
Great father-son bonding. Hopefully Mr. Helvey can impart some wisdom on Michael before he goes... He needs it. ; )

Michael and I in our natural habitat. :D Annie seems worried.
I promise not to drop him Annie!

Michael-- I would like to thank you for the past few years man. Ever since, what was it, 5th grade? You are one lucky kid, that none of my other friends were available to Trick-or-Treat with me on that Halloween. I was basically forced to hang out with you (HEHEHE), and its been an awesome friendship ever since! :D Wouldnt have traded it for anything. See you in 2 years man! Have a good one! Oh, and please send me chocolate!

And also, for any third parties reading this...Michael has left me in charge of his twitter account! You all know how excited that makes me! :D Please follow him on twitter at @mhelvey as I tweet news from his mission via letters/emails I receive/am forwarded! As always, please follow me at @timbe2. I too will have news of his journeys.

Belgium Bound Best Friend Pulls Through

Here we are..Me, Michael, and Annie after my farewell dinner at Fresh Choice. :D

This was from my other package that came from Case-mate.com.
It is my $0.99 recession case. Totally waterproof and float-able. ;)
Can you tell I am genuinely happy?

I got a package from Michael yesterday and a
package from Annie today(pictures to come).
Michael sent me 3 long sleeve shirts, because he won't be needing them
in Belgium for his mission, and I do need them here in Boulder!

A Day in Pictures

A pano picture of my room from my bed. Those are my legs. The TV splits the room in half(ish).

My new Twitter avatar! Thanks @djbooba! He took my avatar pic, a pic of the SF Giants logo and the CU Boulder Buffaloes logo and put them all together to create my avatar using Photoshop! Now, when on twitter, if you look at my avatar, its not all blurry, but a crystal clear picture.

Michael locked himself out of the Kia Rio, so we had to have them come. Luckily, it was covered by Kia. I guess this is an everyday occurrence on a college campus
and they opened up the car for us for FREE!

There's the Kia Rio. One sexy car.haha. Michael and the Lock Man working out some paperwork.

A glitch on Hannah's Blackberry Bold. We had to take it to the AT&T store in Broomfield, CO where they replace the phone no matter what was wrong with it. It had an out of warranty service. It was the only one in Colorado, I believe. For the record, Broomfield is only 15-20 mins.

@mhelvey! Welcome to Colorado!

Today Michael arrived in Denver, Colorado to come visit me for the weekend. This is the last time I will be seeing my best-man before he heads to Belgium to serve his Church, for the next two years. Mixed feelings about that for sure. Excited for him, but sad he won't be around when I am back in the Bay(tear). So, he put some money together with some help from Mr. Helvey(his daddy) i think he helped. ; )
So I woke up super early to get to the airport. I am really paranoid about the whole getting to the airport deal. The AB Sky-Ride bus only stops at the stop I was at every hour. I got on to the bus, made a couple transfers and was on my way. The public transportation people in Boulder were VERY helpful telling me where to get on which bus. A lady even dropped me off at a non-designated stop. SCORE!
I got to the airport, listened to my music, played on my laptop, and created a sign for Michael on my computer. It was awesome. I have never gotten so many weird looks, and head-turns as people get off the plane. It was quite a sight. I was holding my Macbook Pro in the air, dancing around. My reason for doing so was that, hopefully I never see any of these people again. But, this weekend is CU vs. CSU weekend at Folsom Field, meaning I may see some of these people at the game. haha. Oh well.

And there is the bozo I call the best-man. Dude, look at the road!

My view from the passengers seat in the Kia Rio. Beautiful Colorado!

Our rental car which was a Kia Rio was from Florida.
Even cars from Florida love 4 seasons and snow!

One of my drafts for Michael's sign. Thought the flight number
and CU Boulder was too much.

Wifi in the AB Sky-Ride bus was called the 60ft Lesbian Octopus

**next planned visitor @zjh90, springtime of 2010**

The Final Goodbye

Hey all! So i have less than 35 hours left in California before I am off to experience college life. And let me tell you, I could not be more excited!! This past week has been very hectic. Monday and Tuesday I went to Pismo Beach with Michael and his dad and uncle. Wednesday started the long chain of goodbyes to friends I have known through the years. Today was more of the same. And tomorrow is too. I have breakfast with some friends in Los Altos, lunch with Zack in Morgan Hill, coffee at Pete's in Morgan Hill with Steve, and finally visiting Michael and his family at their new house in Los Altos. I am all over the place tomorrow and I still have to pack! ahhh! Wish me luck, and I will post again tomorrow night.
