Breckenridge I

This past weekend was my first time snowboarding in Colorado while at school here. I went to Breckenridge, supposedly the "Amsterdam of the Rockies". It was a ton of fun! I went with my neighbor Steven, and two of his friends, Daniel and Michael. We left at 7:30am, were at the resort by 10:00am ish and headed up to the slope. We took it easy the first run going down an intermediate run. They raced down it and I just took my time for a couple of reasons. I was super rusty and I wanted to just mess around on the slopes. I was hitting some jumps, trying to ride switch and just having a good time. After a couple more small runs on Peak 6 we headed up to Peak 7 where we had to hike the last 200-300 feet. This was the hardest hike ever. The air was so thin. We were at 12,000+, the highest ski lift in North America! Below you will find a picture of the view. FYI: It is iPhone quality.

At the top, getting down sucked. It was super icy with a 50ยบ decline. We scrapped the idea of going on this run anymore and hung out on Peak 6 for the rest of the day. I was really rusty, but I had a great time boarding at Breck. I really hope I can improve even more with the time I am spending here in Colorado. But I promise I won't be spending too much time here. Overall it was an awesome time.

Oh, and wouldn't it be awesome to own a condo right by the lift!

Snow Day! / Halloween

Dani and I stacking our heads like Pumpkins.

Oh, and I got a haircut.

Halloween! Some guy, Amanda (the roller derby girl),
and me (a grumpy old man, Scrooge)

Guys using the rail in the snow. And using a man-made kicker.

Me diving into the Snow. Laying out.

Jumping over Colleen and Hannah.
And if you were wondering,
I cleared them easily.

First Snow!

The first snow on my way to @CUSportsMag on Thursday.
I stopped at the Laughing Goat, on the backside of Norlin Library for a Hot Chocolate.

The first snow of Friday. I was on my way to Chem 140 for a free
showing of The Hangover.

Outside of the UMC, it is a SNOW FLURRRYYY!
Right before the showing of The Hangover.

Buckles and Susana making snow angels where the water fountains
normally shoot out water. This was after the showing of The Hangover.

The Final Result

Action shot of Buckles throwing a snowball at me.
She missed high and to my left. See the white cloud?

The additions to my Macbook Pro, after adding the
@skullcandy sticker and the Boulder-Freeride sticker!

Heading to brunch
